Objective
To prepare an ANM who, under the direction of a registered nurse, is prepared to give basic nursing care at the community level/village with specific skills to fulfill health needs of the community. The faculty believe knowledge acquired by the ANM nurse is basic to all nursing.
Goal:
To prepare a good amount of skilled, efficient, and effective nurses so as to achieve the goals of National Rural Health Mission that aims at producing dramatic changes in the health system of the country.

Admission Criteria
i. The minimum age for admission is 17 years.
ii. The maximum age for admission shall be 35 years.
iii. The minimum educational requirements
is 10+2 Class (any Stream) from central board secondary education or a recognized equivalent public examination. And must secure a minimum of 33% marks.
iv. Admission is subjected to satisfactory, medical examination report.
Job Prospects
Great emphasis has been laid on enhancing health and well being at the grass roots level by the Govt. of India. More than 500 nurses are hired every year in the best government and private hospitals in the country.
